“The Grand Canyon region requires our ongoing vigilance, transparent decision-making, and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lands and waters that make this place irreplaceable,” writes Jeronimo Vasquez, Coconino County Supervisor, District 2 and HECHO Hispanic Conservation Leadership Council member Jeronimo Vasquez in a new op-ed marking the third anniversary of the designation of Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni—Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument this past weekend.

Conservation is a shared, ongoing responsibility and each of us has an important role to play.
