DID YOU KNOW...where people live influences how far they travel, how they get around, and how much they spend reaching jobs, schools, shopping, healthcare, and daily destinations. In many households, transportation is one of the largest expenses after housing, making mobility and affordability closely connected.

🌎💚 Happy World Environment Day! 💚🌎

Looking for a simple way to make a positive impact on the environment? Start with how you get around!

Choosing to walk, bike, roll, CARPOOL, or take transit for even a few trips each week can help reduce air pollution, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and keep Flagstaff's air clean and healthy for everyone.

🚶 Walk when you can
🚲 Ride your bike for short trips
🚌 Take the Mountain Line bus
🤝 Share a ride with your friends!

And remember—getting there sustainably starts with getting there safely:
✔️ Wear a helmet when biking
✔️ Stay visible and alert
✔️ Use crosswalks and follow traffic signals
✔️ Share the road with all users

Every trip is an opportunity to help protect the places we love while building a healthier, more connected community.

Move Smart. Be Safe. Help Keep Flagstaff Green. 🌲🌱

🚲🌎 Happy World Bicycle Day! 🌎🚲

Today we celebrate one of the simplest, most affordable, and most efficient forms of transportation ever invented—the bicycle!

Whether you're riding to work, school, the store, or simply enjoying Flagstaff's beautiful trails and streets, every bike trip helps:
✅ Reduce traffic congestion
✅ Improve air quality
✅ Support physical and mental health
✅ Create a more connected community

Did you know? Replacing just a few short car trips each week with bike trips can significantly reduce your transportation-related carbon footprint while helping you stay active.

So grab your helmet, pump up those tires, and enjoy the ride! Every pedal stroke helps make Flagstaff a healthier, safer, and more sustainable place to live.

🚴 Move Smart. Ride Safe. Enjoy the Journey. Happy Summer!

🚨 DID YOU KNOW? 🚨

That e-moto device zipping down the sidewalk might not belong there.

Per City of Flagstaff guidelines, riders of e-moto devices must:
🏍️ Be at least 16 years old
📄 Have a valid Class M (motorcycle) license
🔖 Have a registered vehicle

And here's the big one: these devices are NOT permitted on sidewalks, bike lanes, or FUTS trails.

✅ Ride on public roadways
✅ Follow the same rules as other motor vehicles
✅ Obey traffic signs and signals

E-moto devices are powerful motor vehicles—not toys—and are not appropriate for children.

Help keep our sidewalks, trails, and bike lanes safe for people walking, rolling, and biking. Move Smart, Flagstaff! 🚶🚲🛴🚗
