City of Flagstaff - Housing Official page for the City of Flagstaff Housing Division Housing is an important community issue in Flagstaff.

The limited supply of housing for low and moderate income residents affects our quality of life as residents and our ability to grow and develop economically. The City of Flagstaff Housing Section works to address the shortage with a number of programs and tools designed to do the following:
•Increase housing inventory and availability
•Economically stabilize lower income families through benefi

ts of homeownership
•Support efforts for safe and adequate homes
•Revitalize community neighborhoods

The City of Flagstaff is considered an entitlement community and receives Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG) from the US. Department of Housing and Urban Development. For more information on the programs offered by the Housing Section visit our website at www.flagstaff.az.gov/housing

🏡 Starter Home applications are opening next week!

Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona is accepting applications for ten Starter Homes at Timber Sky beginning September 8 through October 15.

Interested in seeing the homes in person? Two open houses are coming up:

The City of Flagstaff is proud to support this project through IPAH and ARPA funding, as well as zoning incentives that helped make these affordable homeownership opportunities possible.

Want to help shape housing in Flagstaff? 🏠

The Housing Commission advises City Council on housing policies, needs, and programs in our community. The City of Flagstaff Housing Division is seeking Flagstaff residents (within City limits) with experience in building, real estate, development, or community issues.

The commitment is about 2 hours per month, with meetings held virtually on the 4th Thursday of each month from 1–3 PM.

📢 We want your input!

Starting September 4, the City will open its 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for public review, detailing how federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds supported programs and services for Flagstaff residents during Program Year 2025.

✅ Review the report: The CAPER outlines how CDBG funds were used under the 2025 Annual Action Plan, including the amount of funds spent and the number of people or households assisted.

✅ Submit your comments: Send feedback to [email protected] by 4:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2026. Your comments will be included in the final report.

✅ Join us for the public meeting: Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Council Chambers at City Hall, or join virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Your input helps shape how these critical federal funds are used in our community.
