Monsoon moisture continues to move into the area. Expect precipitation chances to increase over the next couple days. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain that may lead to flash flooding so use caution if you have any outdoor plans.

🚧The City of Flagstaff, in partnership with Mountain Line, will begin installing new pedestrian crossings to improve safety and access to bus stops along the corridor as part of the First Mile, Last Mile Initiative.

📍 Crossings will be installed at:
• Fort Valley Road & Meade Lane
• Fort Valley Road & Anderson Road/Whiting Road
• Fort Valley Road & Forest Avenue

These improvements will provide safer crossings for pedestrians by adding refuge medians, allowing people to cross one lane of traffic at a time. The crossing at Fort Valley Road and Forest Avenue will also include pedestrian-activated flashing beacons.

đźš— What to expect during construction:
• Work begins Monday, August 17
• Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m.
• One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open
• Businesses, schools, and neighborhoods will remain accessible
• Expect travel delays, construction equipment, and temporary pedestrian detours along the Karen Cooper FUTS

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility throughout our community.
