🐷✈️ Cromer Elementary’s second graders brought aviation to life through art and science! Students created paper pigs, added wings, and tested their flights in three different environments—collecting data, making observations, and comparing results along the way.

From the art room to the commons to the library balcony, our students discovered that learning doesn’t just stay in one classroom! 🎨🔬🐷✨

🚀 Learning is taking flight at Puente de Hozho!

Third graders at Puente de Hózhó kicked off their third week of school with a hands-on rocket launch lesson from the Arizona Science Center! Students put STEM skills into action as they experimented, problem-solved, made observations, and tested their ideas.

We love seeing our students build curiosity, confidence, teamwork, and perseverance through real-world learning experiences. What a great way to start the school year! 🌟🚀

✨🎓Preparing students for the future means more than academic knowledge. It means helping them build the skills, confidence, and mindset to navigate challenges, connect with others, and pursue their goals after graduation.

This school year, FUSD is implementing the State 48 Graduate Profile, a statewide framework designed to help students develop essential skills for success in school, careers, communities, and life beyond graduation.

Each month, FUSD will highlight a different skill, connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences and giving families opportunities to continue the conversation at home.

💡Monthly Focus:
July & August: State 48 Introduction
September: Foundational Knowledge & Literacies
October: Digital Fluency
November: Self-Awareness & Management
December: Ethics & Impact
January: Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

March: Communication & Collaboration
April: Adaptability & Lifelong Learning
May: State 48 Wrap-Up

The State 48 Graduate Profile reflects a shared vision for Arizona students and supports FUSD's commitment to preparing every student for a successful and purposeful future.✨
