Debbie is a walking miracle. I love to listen to her answering the phones in our main Admin office. The LIGHT and Joy that she carries as she shares her story from addiction and brokenness to a full life full of friends, family, travel and dedication to the work of ending homelessness for others. She has inspired thousands of people. Debbie serves as SRM’s Administrative Director. She holds close relationships with our donors and their families, our residents and guests at Hope Cottage and The Mission and she treats everyone the same. Debbie is living proof of God’s saving grace and His ability to radically change the trajectory of somebody’s life. She emulates all that happens here. Lives forever changed. TRANSFORMATION. SRM would not be the same without her.

It was incredible to see the Body of Christ—believers from so many different churches—come together to praise God beneath a sunset that only He could create. 🌅

We are so grateful to the Northern Arizona Collaboration of Churches and to Dean Neasham with TDT Productions for believing in this dream and helping bring it to life.

At SRM, we were just a small part of it—helping with parking, and helping get the word out.

Isn’t this such a beautiful picture of what happens when we simply show up with what God has placed in our hands—and then trust Him to do the miracles?

We plant. We water. God gives the increase. 🔥🕊️💕

You are amazing! Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona has provided a home now for over 500 families in our community. There are no words to thank them for that and for the safe supported housing they provide at Sharon Manor for some of our families transitioning with employment out of Hope Cottage. They also provide so many people with a quality place to live at JoJo‘s Place, including some of the women and men overcoming homelessness here at SRM.

AND!!! WOW! Thank you Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona for the root beer floats! I was handed a root beer float gift card for Dairy Queen at a meeting last week and then more root beer floats came in the mail. So sweet! Literally!

The worship nights in July were truly unforgettable. Watching the Body of Christ come together as one, people from different churches, different backgrounds, and even many who traveled from Phoenix, was such a beautiful picture of God's Church united in worship. The presence of the Lord was powerful, and lives were impacted as we gathered to lift up the name of Jesus.

Grace Community Church's Men's Breakfast was a huge success! 🙌🍳

Sunshine Catering Cares, Sunshine Rescue Mission's newest social enterprise, had the privilege of serving breakfast to 175 incredible men of God. It was an honor to be a small part of a morning filled with fellowship, encouragement, worship, and faith.

A heartfelt thank you to Grace Community Church for trusting us to cater this special event. We are grateful for every opportunity to serve our community with excellence while creating meaningful job training and employment opportunities for individuals rebuilding their lives through Sunshine Rescue Mission.

Whether you're planning a church gathering, business meeting, nonprofit event, wedding, celebration, or special occasion, Sunshine Catering Cares would love to serve you! We are so excited to receive these wonderful backpacks from Peace Lutheran Church in Flagstaff for the children at Hope Cottage! 💙

Tonight, when the kids arrive, we’ll be giving each of them a backpack filled with school supplies. We know they’re going to be so excited, and we’re incredibly grateful for your generosity and kindness. Thank you, Peace Lutheran Church, for helping our children start the school year feeling prepared, encouraged, and loved!

We want to say thank you to this incredible group of high school students and leaders who traveled all the way to Flagstaff from Austin, Texas to serve with us at Sunshine Rescue Mission.

Watching you all serve was such a blessing. You took on some challenging projects with humble hearts, worked incredibly hard, and somehow managed to keep smiling and having fun through it all. Your willingness to serve with joy and excellence did not go unnoticed, and you made a real difference here.

It is such a beautiful reminder of what happens when the Body of Christ comes together. Different churches, communities, and individuals using their gifts, time, and talents to love others, serve selflessly, and make an impact for God’s Kingdom. We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner together and see Christ’s love displayed through your service.

It gives me so much hope to see young people who are so eager to serve, and leaders who invest in them by leading with humility and setting such a wonderful example.

A special thank you to Thadeous Books from Desert Cross Lutheran Church for putting this group together and coordinating such a meaningful mission trip.

We want to shout out a huge thank you to Izzy from Saint Johns United Methodist Church in Austin, TX, you did a fantastic job leading, organizing, and creating an opportunity for these students to serve and grow. Your heart for serving others and pouring into the next generation was evident throughout their time with us.

Thank you to each student and leader who gave your time, energy, and hearts to serve. We are so grateful for every one of you and the impact you made at Sunshine Rescue Mission. We hope to see you all again soon! ❤️

Jesus is our Lord and Savior who is still in the business of doing miraculous things.

He is the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way. He restores what has been broken, heals wounded hearts, redeems lost stories, and breathes life into situations that seem beyond hope.

So often, we limit God by what we can see or understand. But He is already working in ways we could never imagine. The miracles He has planned are far greater than our biggest dreams because His plans are always better than our own.

As we gather for Praise & Worship Under the Stars, come with an expectant heart. Come believing that God still moves. That He still heals. That He still restores. That He still saves. That He still performs miracles.

Whatever burden you're carrying today, lay it at the feet of Jesus. He is able.

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." — Ephesians 3:20

Praise & Worship Under the Stars

Last night was nothing short of incredible. Our very first Praise & Worship Under the Stars was a powerful evening as praise and worship were lavishly poured out on the Lord. His presence was evident as people from across our community gathered together in unity to lift high the name of Jesus.

There was hope in every song, every prayer, and every conversation. Hope that God is still moving. Hope that He is still healing, restoring, and drawing people to Himself. In a world that often feels heavy, we were reminded that our hope is found in Jesus Christ alone.

If you joined us last night, thank you for being part of what God is doing. If you couldn't make it, we'd love to have you with us tonight. Bring your family, invite a friend, and bring a chair or blanket as we gather once again under the stars to worship our King.

Come expecting. God is moving, and we can't wait to see what He will do tonight.
