This afternoon we share in the sadness with millions around the world after hearing of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly will be remembered not only as a multi talented actress, singer and song writer but also for the work she’s done around the world. Her incredible storytelling through music and movies allowed us to be part of her amazing adventures.

Flatwoods Fall Cleanup 2026

As stated in Greenup’s post, the same goes for Flatwoods Public Works. They will always be in a marked truck or car with a green stripe and city decal. Crews will also be wearing city issued clothing with our logo on the uniforms.

Public works employees will not ask to enter your house. Work to be done by our crews will only take place outside.

Be vigilant and call 911 or 473-1411 if you encounter anything unusual or suspicious such as this incident.

Transportation is available for seniors who need a ride to the Senior Center.

Whether they want to enjoy a meal, participate in activities, meet new friends, or simply get out of the house and spend time with others, we want to help make sure transportation isn’t standing in their way!
