📚 It’s Read Across America Week!

I had the privilege of participating in the Expo Hall at the screening of The Librarians on March 1st. It was a powerful reminder that literacy matters—and that access to books reflecting real‑life experiences truly makes a difference.
I’ve written a series of books to support families during military deployments. While deployments are no longer part of my family’s journey, many families are still living that reality, and these stories were created with them in mind.

Dr. Chanda Nicole Holsey, ECS4Kids Community Advisory Board Member, and her daughter, Erin, volunteered several hours together with other ECS4Kids supporters. They worked diligently to create a community garden at the West Side Head Start center.
