Many have said they didn’t get the alert on their phone. The way this system works is it only sends out the alert to the people that live in the affected area. Example if there is a tornado warning issued like earlier, maps showed the warning layer covering the south east part of the county so only that section received the alert via phone alert. As for the county when we set the tornado siren off they’re all linked together and it alerts the whole county anytho the whole county may not be in the immediate danger of the warning.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Fleming County until 8pm 8/11/26

FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Kentucky, including the
following county, Fleming.

* WHEN...Until 330 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 137 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will allow minor flooding to
continue or worsen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fairview, Cowan and Ewing.
