We are in the process of wrapping up the Memory Trees sales for 2026. We have less than 30 trees left. Please reach out to Regina Rose at 606-748-2841 or Joni Hazelrigg at 606-782-4526 or any Rotarian and they can help you get a tree secured. This year's recipient of the funds raised through this project is Project Heart Restart. This project funds AED's (automated external defibrillators) to place 15 defibrillators in Fleming County Sheriff and Flemingsburg Police Department vehicles. Many times these vehicles are the first responders when called and can provide life saving help. All of the money raised from this project stays local to Fleming County. If you have a loved one that has passed or if you would like to honor a loved one, this is a beautiful tribute to those special people in your life. Trees are $100. The Fleming County Rotary Club provides a 5 to 6 foot cut tree, clear lights and a sign for your tree. You can decorate your tree to honor your loved ones. We will try to have the trees up 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. The official tree lighting is Saturday, November 28th at 6 pm at the Fleming Mason Energy Pavilion. Last year we had 281 trees and looking to continue to grow our beautiful project.

The Fleming County Rotary Club has been selling ads to area businesses that will be aired on WFLE radio station 95.1, August 10th - 15th. Rotarians will be promoting your business on the radio. Nothing better than a word of mouth advertisement. We are currently scheduled for 12 hours of radio time to be airing Monday thru Saturday 8 am - 9 am and again in the afternoon 4 pm to 5pm. Please tune in to WFLE radio next week as we promote and advertise our areas businesses. This is our major fundraiser that allows us to fund programs such as the Back Pack program, scholarships and other charitable donations. Pictured recording ads are Andrew Graham, Fleming County Rotary President and Terry Ishmael, Chairman of the Rotary Radio Committee.

Pam McGlone and Sarah Pease spoke to the Rotary members about The Edge Glamping Getaway located on HWY 60 between Farmers and Salt Lick in Bath County, KY. It located on the Licking River and in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. Ms. McGlone presented a video showing the planning and building of the site and the available units to rent which are teepees, geo dome Pergola and bath house to rent. The units can house 2-5 people in each. This is not just camping but a glamours unit with climate control, mini fridge, bedding and linens provide as well as toiletries. Each unit has its own outdoor fire pit and grill. The Edge is family and kid friendly and offers games, horse shoes, scavenger hunt, fishing and you can kayak on the river. Wildlife is abundant such as deer, turkeys, beaver and eagles. If you are wanting a special event, you can book for birthday and anniversary getaways. Future plans are to build a Glamping Store, kayak ramp, look out point, and possible wedding venue. You can view and book your getaway online at www.stayontheedge.com or call 855-566-3343 (EDGE).
