After over two decades of working in the children’s department at the North County Branch, Joan Dando is retiring! Joan was most known for her fun and seasonal take home crafts enjoyed by thousands of kids in the community. The library will miss Joan’s welcoming presence and we wish her all the best on her new journey!

If you visited downtown Clinton recently, you might have noticed the collection of colorful flags displayed on Pony Pratt Truss Bridge.

The Mill to Mill Peace Flag Project invites artists to answer the question, “What does peace mean to you?” Facilitated by the Hunterdon Art Museum and the Red Mill Museum Village, nearly 1,200 community members came together to create art which expresses their vision for peace. Made with eco-friendly materials, the flags stand as a testimony to the community around us!

The North County Branch was able to engage in this project in the spring, when we hosted a Flag Making event as part of our annual Maker’s Day.

We are so grateful to be a part of this project and encourage everyone to visit Pony Pratt Truss Bridge before August 30th to see this wonderful display.
