CREATURE FEATURE: The Spotted Lanternfly is nearing our county. There's currently no known sighting of the Spotted Lanternfly. We need to make sure we're reporting the Spotted Lanternfly immediately. If you see the Spotted Lanternfly, please contact us immediately on Facebook Messenger AND at: [email protected]. Please include the location that you saw the Spotted Lanternfly.

These bugs are known to destroy grapes used for wine, hops used for beer and hardwood. The best way to avoid spreading any pest is to never remove hardwood.

You can also call: 866-253-7189 to report the Spotted Lanternfly.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: As some of you may be aware, the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been found in our neighboring communities. We are currently working on an action plan for the Ash Trees in our public areas.

Hopewell Township has created this very useful public service announcement to help communities learn more about the dangers of the EABs. Please watch it when you have a few minutes to spare.

If you know you have an Ash Tree on your property, let us know as soon as possible! We will begin an inventory to determine our best course of action to protect our Ash Trees.
