For the second year in a row, hundreds of #GaCities officials and staff from across the state took the Gold Dome by storm for the annual #CitiesUnited Day at the Capitol. Special thanks to Governor Brian Kemp and members of the Georgia General Assembly who shared their vision, engaged with city leaders and heard our home-rule focused legislative priorities.

Flemington selected Alaska as their state. There was a truck and trailer with Alaska license plates, crab pots and buoys, the Northern Lights, an igloo, a gold panner, two polar bears warming their paws by a campfire, a LIFE SIZED moose and a freshly caught king salmon. Mayor Hawkins, Mayor Pro Tem Dasher and Councilman Edwards rode on the float. A great time was had by all.
