​Today, Patrolman Max Wendling was honored at the New Jersey Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Awards Breakfast in New Brunswick. Ptl. Wendling was recognized as the Top Cop (tied) for Hunterdon County for his outstanding enforcement efforts in 2025.

Today, members of Hunterdon County PBA Local 188 proudly joined law enforcement officers from across Hunterdon County, including Correctional Police Officers from Edna Mahan Correctional Facility, in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to help kick off the 2026 Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games.

Despite soaring temperatures and challenging conditions, officers carried the Flame of Hope more than eight miles through Clinton, Readington, Flemington, and Lambertville, demonstrating the unwavering commitment law enforcement has shown to Special Olympics athletes for decades. The Torch Run is more than a relay—it is a symbol of inclusion, perseverance, and the strong partnership between law enforcement and the Special Olympics movement.

This weekend, Special Olympics New Jersey athletes from across the state will gather at The College of New Jersey to compete, showcase their talents, and inspire all who attend. Their determination, courage, and sportsmanship continue to serve as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through hard work and community support.

Law enforcement officers throughout New Jersey remain steadfast supporters of Special Olympics athletes, volunteering countless hours, raising critical funds, and participating in events like the Torch Run year after year. Today’s run was another example of that dedication. Whether on the streets carrying the torch, cheering from the sidelines, or helping organize events, officers are honored to stand alongside these remarkable athletes and help ensure they have the opportunity to compete, succeed, and shine.

Congratulations to our very own Lieutenant Jessica Neiber.

Yesterday, Prosecutor Robeson announced the promotion of Detective Sergeant Jessica Neiber to the rank of Lieutenant at the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office.

In her remarks, Prosecutor Robeson noted that Lieutenant Jessica Neiber has overseen complex and sensitive investigations throughout her career, consistently demonstrating professionalism and adherence to office standards.

Lieutenant Jessica Neiber joined the office in 2002. She entered the investigative division in 2005 as a Detective Trainee and later served as a detective. She was promoted to Detective Sergeant in 2020 and most recently served in the Special Victims Unit, contributing to investigative operations and personnel development. She holds a B.S. in Forensic Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

With more than twenty-three years of service, Lieutenant Jessica Neiber is the longest serving investigative member of the Prosecutor’s Office.

🎣 A Great Day of Fishing! 🎣

Brother Tyler Scott of the Delaware Township Police Department, an avid fisherman, recently took part in the Delaware Township Fishing Derby, spending the day alongside local families, anglers, and community members enjoying everything the event had to offer.

Whether it was helping young participants celebrate their catches, sharing fishing stories, or even reeling in a fish of his own, Brother Scott represented the department’s commitment to building positive relationships with the residents we serve. Events like these provide valuable opportunities for law enforcement officers to connect with community members outside of emergency situations, fostering trust, friendship, and mutual respect.

Our members understand that community policing extends far beyond the badge. By participating in local events, volunteering their time, and engaging with residents of all ages, they help strengthen the bonds that make our communities safer and more connected.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who attended for making the fishing derby a memorable day. We are proud of Brother Scott and all of our members who continue to demonstrate that meaningful community engagement is at the heart of public service.

Yesterday, members of the Police Unity Tour Chapter 7 rode through Hunterdon County and stopped at the monument for Sgt. Christopher Bracks of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Sgt. Bracks tragically lost his life in Delaware Township while riding to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. This event, although tragic, has linked the LA County Sherrif’s Office to Hunterdon County forever. We will continue to remember Sgt. Bracks and all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting this great nations. May god bless Sgt. Bracks, his family, and all those who ride in his honor.

Hunterdon County PBA Local 188 is on scene with our support trailer to support our Brothers and Sister Hunterdon County First Responders as they mourn the loss of Past Chief Kevin Saharic of the Lebanon Fire Company. May today serve as a testament to his service and dedication to the residents of Lebanon Borough and Hunterdon County. RIP Chief Saharic.

Hunterdon County PBA Local 188 joins First Responders across Hunterdon County as they mourn the loss of Past Chief Kevin Saharic today. Chief Saharic was a staple in the First Responder community and a dear friend to many of us. We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to his family, both by blood and by Brotherhood. May he rest in eternal peace.

It is with profound grief that Michele Saharic and family announce the untimely passing of her beloved husband, Past Chief Kevin Saharic, details will follow, presently the funeral is under the direction of Scarponi Funeral Home, Lebanon Borough.

Congratulations to Chief Robert Brown on his appointment to Chief of Police in the City of Lambertville! This historic appointment fills the vacancy of the role since 1996.

It is with great pleasure I announce that Robert Brown was appointed to serve as the Chief of Police at the City Council meeting of April 23, 2026. Chief Brown has faithfully served this community for more than three decades and the Governing Body is deeply grateful for his commitment to Lambertville.
