Wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy 4th of July as we celebrate our nation’s 250th here in Hunterdon County!

I am relieved that Congressman Tom Kean Jr. is well and continue to wish him good health.

But let’s be clear: I got into this race because Tom Kean Jr. was failing our community long before this absence. He was the deciding vote on the One Big Beautiful Bill, which jacked up health care costs for everyone and kicked thousands off of their health insurance in our district. He has consistently failed to stand up for our communities, including when funding for the Gateway project was threatened. And he voted in favor of a reckless war that has made everything more expensive for New Jersey families.

Yet Tom Kean Jr. still somehow found time to trade stocks while missing votes. This is the self-serving culture in Washington that New Jerseyans are rejecting, and the kind of behavior they are sick and tired of from career politicians.

I spent my life serving this country in uniform, and I’m ready to serve our district in Congress. It’s time we hold Tom Kean Jr. accountable for his record and bring a new generation of leadership to Washington.

HCDC Chair Michael Drulis joined Caitlin Giles-McCormick for County Clerk, Jason Blazakis for County Commissioner, Rebecca Bennett for Congress, and Alexandria Township candidate Melody Fogerty at Bobolink Farms last night for a wonderful evening with Mildford and Holland Dems.

Good conversations, strong candidates, plenty of Hunterdon energy, and yes, some incredible bread and cheese.

Big love to our fabulous HCDC interns, who were there bringing the energy, enthusiasm and the passion for winning in November!

Today, Hunterdon Democrats gathered for our HCDC Organization Meeting.

Congratulations to Chairman Michael Drulis and Vice-Chair Michele Liebtag and Secretary Hope Kaufmann on their re-election, and to John Kashwick on his election as our new Treasurer.

We are grateful to outgoing Treasurer Marianne Rampulla and the 2024-2026 Executive Committee for their service and leadership.

We are also excited to welcome our newly elected County Committee members and begin the work ahead.

Thank you to Assemblywoman Mitchelle Drulis, Rebecca Bennett for Congress and Caitlin and Jason for Hunterdon for joining us and reminding us what this moment requires.

HCDC is proud to support candidates up and down the ballot who are all in for Hunterdon.

What a beautiful afternoon at HCDC HQ celebrating Flag Day, America’s upcoming 250th birthday, and the community we are so proud to call home.
