♻️ Household Hazardous Waste Collection – This Saturday! ♻️

Doing a little end-of-summer cleanup? Henderson County’s next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is this Saturday, August 29.

Now is a great time to gather those household items that shouldn’t go in your regular trash:

🧪 Chemicals & cleaners
🌱 Pesticides & fertilizers
⛽ Gasoline – 5-gallon limit per resident
🎨 Paint – $5 per gallon, regardless of how full (30-gallon limit per resident)

📅 Saturday, August 29
⏰ 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
📍 Old Activity Building Entrance – between the Convenience Center and Transfer Station. Signs will be posted.

This service is available to Henderson County residents, including Fletcher residents.

Goodwill Career Connections – Drop in for help with resumes, online job applications, interview preparation, and your job search.

🐾 Saturday, August 29 | 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
PAWS for Reading – Children can practice their reading skills with a certified therapy dog! Registration is required.

💻 The library also offers free one-on-one Tech Time appointments for help with smartphones, tablets, e-books, digital audiobooks, Hoopla, NC Digital Library, and other technology.

Tomorrow is the final Fletcher Community Farmers Market of the 2026 season!

Join us for one last Tuesday afternoon at Bill Moore Community Park to shop local, support our wonderful vendors, and enjoy the community atmosphere that has made this season so much fun. 💚

🏡👮 Heading Out of Town? Let Fletcher Police Keep an Eye on Things!

Did you know the Fletcher Police Department offers a House Check Program for residents living within the incorporated Town limits?

If you're going on vacation or will be away from home, you can request a house check. While you're gone, Fletcher Police officers will add patrols of your property to their daily routine, providing an extra set of eyes while you're away.

♻️ Household Hazardous Waste Collection – Fall Dates ♻️

Fletcher residents, Henderson County has announced its Fall 2026 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events. If you have household chemicals or other hazardous materials that need proper disposal, mark your calendar!

📅 Saturday, August 29 | 8 AM–12 PM
📅 Saturday, September 26 | 8 AM–12 PM
📅 Saturday, October 24 | 8 AM–12 PM

📍 Old Activity Building Entrance
Between the Convenience Center and Transfer Station -signs will be posted.

Accepted items include:
🧪 Chemicals & cleaners
🌱 Pesticides & fertilizers
⛽ Gasoline (5-gallon limit per resident)
🎨 Paint — $5 per gallon, regardless of how full (30-gallon limit per resident)
