🔋🔥 Safety Reminder: Lithium Batteries Don't Belong in the Trash 🔥🔋

Lithium batteries can spark and cause fires in garbage trucks, recycling facilities, and landfills when damaged or crushed.

Common items containing lithium batteries include cell phones, laptops, tablets, rechargeable tools, wireless earbuds, and other electronic devices.

❌ Do not place lithium batteries in your trash or recycling cart.

✅ Instead, take them to an approved battery recycling or household hazardous waste collection site.

Before recycling:
• Tape the battery terminals
• Place batteries in individual plastic bags

🌞🎒 Summer Day Camp Has Arrived! 🎒🌞

The sounds of summer are back at Bill Moore Community Park! We're excited to welcome both new and returning campers for a season filled with fun, friendship, learning, and unforgettable memories.

Over the next two months, you'll notice lots of smiling faces, games, activities, and campers enjoying the park. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we help create a safe and enriching experience for Fletcher's youth. 💛

📅 Please Note:
From June 1 through July 31, some park facilities will have limited public access.

⛱️ Steelcase Shelter will not be available for rent Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Thank you for helping us make this another fantastic summer at Bill Moore Community Park. Here's to a season full of sunshine, laughter, and great memories! ☀️🌳

🏠🔨 Western NC Home Repair Readiness Program 🔨🏠

Still recovering from Hurricane Helene? A new program may be available to help eligible Western North Carolina homeowners with critical home repairs needed to improve safety, weatherization readiness, and long-term resilience. Henderson County homeowners may qualify for assistance through this program.

Eligible repairs may include roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, moisture remediation, and other repairs needed to prepare homes for energy-efficiency improvements. Income qualifications apply.
