DOJ poll monitors will be present in the city of Flint on election day, just as they have been in past elections. Michigan election laws allow poll watchers and monitors to observe the process but not interfere. Local Clerks as well as law enforcement across the state, including here in Genesee County are trained and well prepared for this election, including the presence of poll monitors. Voters can be assured that the Michigan election process remains safe, secure, and transparent.

"The law provides specific parameters that allow monitors, observers and challengers to witness elections at local polling places. It’s important for residents to know that DOJ Monitors are a standard part of our election process, and we anticipate they will comport with state and federal law just as they did in this year’s August Primary.
