If pets could talk they would say, "Hey, it's freezing outside and we get cold just like you do!"

Here are a few tips to keep your furry friends happy and safe this winter.

1) Provide a warm shelter.
2) Plenty of food and water.
3) Make some noise before starting your vehicle. Some animals like the warmth of a vehicle's engine and wheel well area.
4) Don't shave the hair off your pets during cold months.
5) When your pet comes in from the cold, make sure to wipe off it's paws and belly. This can help prevent frostbite and will also remove salt or other chemicals used outside on driveways and sidewalks.
6) Your pet can get hypothermia from being outside in the cold. If you notice it shivering or becoming lethargic, bring it inside and wrap it in a warm blanket.
