With the cold weather here, keep the heat on in areas that have a wet sprinkler system. We have had many reports of lines freezing already. If you need service D&H has 24 hour service.

Today We had the opportunity to work with Michigan state police and Charlotte fire dept. they had a house they were conducting training in and We were fortunate enough to be able to add fire protection to a section. MSP bomb squad started the fire and within 4 mins the fire sprinklers went off and within 60 seconds the sprinklers had put out the fire. We shut the water off and walked inside (still a lot of smoke but was safe).
2nd burn they started on the opposite wall to create a good burning fire. We let the room get engrossed in flames then turned the water on and within 2 minutes it was about out. MSP wanted to keep the fire going to finish their testing but mine was complete.
A captain from MSP and I talked for a minute as he was amazed at how quickly the second fire was put out. His words "about the time the home owner would call 911 the fire sprinklers had contained the fire and put it out"
Bottom line FIRE PROTECTION PUTS OUT FIRES AND SAVES LIFES!

Thursday morning I get to work with Michigan state police and Charlotte fire department. They are burning down a residential house in Charlotte for training, what better way to test fire protection in homes? This will be a great way to show how safe you will be if you had sprinklers in every house. Death by fire is unacceptable!
Time to show people that if you build a house you should have fire protection!
