Wear Red and Give

On the first Friday of every February, which is designated as American Heart Month, the nation comes together, igniting a wave of red from coast to coast. Wear red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and save lives. Because when we come together, there’s nothing we can’t do.

Show your support against a silent killer. Wear your red on February 7th! #WearRedDay

Remember to wear Red in honor of Equal Payday tomorrow! Hope to see you there!

Come join us for a luncheon on April 2, in Applewood Café from 11:30am-1pm,and lively panel discussion on women’s pay (in)equalities around the globe! Cost is $15 but students are FREE, RSVP and must show student ID. DID YOU KNOW? Equal Pay Day symbolizes how far into the year a woman must work, on average, to earn as much as her male counterparts did during the previous year. Red is worn on this day as a symbol of how far women are "in the red" with regard to pay. A group photo will be taken to demonstrate solidarity so we ask you to please wear "red" clothing that day. The photo will be shared in Lansing at the Capitol & other organizations. For more information contact The Foundation for Mott Community College at (810) 762-0425. The deadline to RSVP is March 28.
