Itβsπ₯Fallπagain and all of us Michiganders know this actually stands for βFALLβing leaves π At first thought, burning the leaves sounds like the best way to get rid of them. Did you know itβs actually extremely harmful?
Why is burning leaves harmful? π₯ππ«
Air pollution, especially the tiny particles from a pile of burning leaves, can increase your risk of heart disease. Inhaling these particles can potentially trigger a heart attack, plus cause or worsen heart or lung diseases in people already living with them.
Burning safely needs to be top priority and we are here to answer any questions you may have π₯

Top Tips for Fire Safety
Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside bedrooms and outside sleeping areas. Test smoke alarms every month. ... Talk with all family members about a fire escape plan and practice the plan twice a year. If a fire occurs in your home, GET OUT, STAY OUT and CALL FOR HELP.
It's that time of year again! Change Your Clock, Change Your Batteries! Every fall, fire departments work to remind people of the simple, life-saving habit of changing and testing the batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when setting the clocks back for daylight saving time.
