As you know, mail- in/absentee ballots are out now. If you have not received one and would like to, ballots can be delivered via first- class mail until 5 pm on July 31st. Early voting sites will be open from 9-5 pm between 7/25/26 & 8/2/26, in the Flint City Hall chambers on the 3rd floor.
With that said, although I am now running as a write-in candidate for the 70th District State Representative seat, I am still in this fight, but cannot do this alone. My commitment to this community has not changed regardless of my campaigns' circumstances. Were mistakes made? Yes. Did I do what needed to be done to rectify the situation? Absolutely. Did I learn from those mistakes? Without a doubt!
I'm asking for your consideration. Consider me to be the one to serve as a direct liaison to help you resolve issues with state agencies, to introduce and vote on bills covering major issues that impact your daily life, such as reproductive rights, gun violence prevention, road safety, and energy policies, to debate and vote on the state budget, which dictates how your tax dollars are spent on critical infrastructure, public education, and Medicaid allocations, and to help local municipalities, non-profits, and businesses in our area secure state funding and grants- (and if necessary, assisting the residents with holding those accountable if funds are mismanaged).
To those that are understandably discouraged during this election cycle...every vote matters, and your participation is essential to ensuring that the outcome reflects the wishes of the community as a whole; to bring about the changes that we so desperately need to see.
Your support will not be in vein. It is my promise to always put the Residents first and to help build the future that we deserve.
It is only through struggle that one understands the true value of power. Few communities understand struggle better than the Residents of Flint. I truly want to help lead us out of that struggle-Be a Present, available and accountable support to those I serve- Make decisions with the help of those I serve-and continue to fight and stand with those I serve, as the Power of the People is greater than the People in Power.
On Tuesday, August 4th,
Write-in Mike Clack!
