The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Lincoln County in Middle Tennessee...

Until 1145 AM CDT.

At 1050 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles west of Petersburg, or 8 miles south of Lewisburg, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated, power outages have been reported in Tennessee.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include... Fayetteville, Petersburg, Lincoln, Howell, Dellrose, Elora, Belleview, Mimosa, Cash Point, and Skinem.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

We are officially just 1 week out! Please make plans to attend and also share with family and friends. It’s going to be a fun filled day getting to spend time together with our community and neighbors from across Lincoln County. Music will start around 11:45, so bring a chair and listen throughout the day. Vendors will be set up all day, come support them as well.

[315PM] There is a low chance of strong to severe storms on Monday. The main threats are damaging winds and hail, but heavy rain/flooding and frequent lightning will be impacts as well. The most likely timeframe for strong to severe storms is between 10AM-2PM. Make sure to stay weather aware and have multiple ways of receiving warning information!

The Flintville Fire Rescue was honored to participate in the South Lincoln Eagle day and the Flintville Bobcat Prowl. We went to South Lincoln elementary to spend the morning with the students and they had a blast.

We were at Flintville elementary this afternoon to participate in the Bobcat Prowl parade. The students enjoyed the firetrucks and also had a great afternoon.

Being a community fire department we are very proud to be a part of the great community events. Thanks to both schools for letting us be a part of such a great day!!

The Flintville Fire Rescue has been busy this evening. This afternoon we responded to a possible structure fire in the Flintville community. Resident stated there was a strong smoke smell and smoke alarms were going off. Crews inspected the home with a thermal imaging camera. No fire was found. Crews determined that a defective dryer was the source of the issue. Vanntown fire and elora fire also responded.
This evening around 11pm we responded to assist the Elora department with a small shed fire in the 100 block of Echols rd in the Elora community. On arrival the small shed was fully involved. Crews extinguished the fire and checked other structures. Two structures were saved. Great job by all who responded.
