Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our crew to yours!

Although we weren't able to spend the holiday at home today, we were able to spend the day with our CCEMS family and friends while serving the community. Thank you to the Carroll County community for making this such a wonderful place to live and work!

We also want to say a special thank you to the anonymous biker that stopped one of our ambulances today to deliver a card and some blessings! You made our day! Thank you!

Carroll County EMS is currently looking for an Assistant EMS Director. The Assistant Director is a salary position starting at $85,163.00 annually, with a 40 hour work week and eligible for full benefits. The position will begin January 1, 2026.

You must have a current Paramedic license honored by the State of Indiana, valid drivers license, current CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications, and a Primary Instructor Certification is preferred.

Applications can be picked up in the Auditor’s office at the Carroll County Courthouse on the second floor.

All interested must complete an application with resume and letter of interest outlining why you would be a good fit for the position, including your personal 5 year plan. Applications must be turned into the Auditor’s office by November 14, 2025 at 0900.

Congrats to these four Deputy Michael Fincher, Deputy Scott Fidler, Paramedic Shanna Hamilton, EMT Arianne Battering on their life saving award at the Commissioners meeting this morning. Also need to recognize Deputy / EMT Spencer Kingery who was also on scene assisting and for nominating these professionals for this recognition. We are fortunate to have the best working and protecting our County. Thank you to all Law Enforcement, EMS Staff and Firefighters for what you do and you all are appreciated.

Responds to 911 calls in Carroll County.
Provides exceptional emergency care to residents and visitors of Carroll County.
A rural EMS Service with longer transport times.
We staff three ALS ambulances at three stations.
We average 5.2 calls a day, between the three ambulances.
We work 24 hour shifts. Full-time staff works two shifts a week.
Full-time Paramedic makes $66,900.00 with overtime built-in on each pay.
We have up-to-date equipment and have aggressive protocols.
We offer Indiana civilian PERF retirement.
Health/Dental/Vision Insurance is available.
Paid Vacation, Personal and Sick time and 14 Paid Holidays each year.

Qualifications:
Licensed Indiana Paramedic
BLS/CPR
ACLS
PALS
BTLS/ITLS preferred but not required.
