Floral Park Fire Explorers Post 129

Floral Park Fire Explorers Post 129 We are part of the Nassau County Junior Firefighters Association. Our meetings are the 1st Sunday of All training and uniforms are provided to each member.

The Floral Park Fire Explorer Post 129 was organized in 1981. We are sub-division of the Boy Scouts of America and part of the Floral Park Volunteer Fire Department. Any boy or girl between the ages of 14 and 18 can submit an application to join our Fire Explorer Post. Each Fire Explorer will be trained in basic fire suppression techniques and Emergency Medical Service {EMS} skills. Fire Explorer meetings are the 1st Sunday of every month, and Drills are conducted on the 3rd Sunday of every month. So come on down to a meeting to learn more or call the Chiefs Office at 516-326-6328 and leave a message.

As of June 30, 2026, the Floral Park Fire Explorers Post 129 will come to an end after 45 years of service to the Floral Park Fire Department and the community. We thank everyone who supported us on our car wash and Christmas Fundraisers.
The Inc Village of Floral Park and the Floral Park Fire Department have now be starting up a Junior Fire Company. The members of the Explorer Post will have the choice to join the Juniors by filling out all new paperwork.
