🩸🔬 Science in Action at Wilson High School! 🔬🩸

Students in Mrs. McCallum’s Forensic Science class were putting their investigative skills to work during a Blood Spatter Lab! 🕵🏾‍♀️

Students analyzed blood spatter patterns to identify single drops, multiple drops, motion drops, and angle drops while learning how forensic scientists use evidence to help reconstruct what happened at a scene.

🚨Football Schedule Changes 🚨

Due to the weather, there have been changes to the varsity football games this week for South Florence, West Florence, and Wilson. Originally scheduled for Friday night, they will now take place on Thursday, August 27th.

South Florence vs James Island
Time: 7:30pm
Location: James Island Charter Football Field

West Florence vs Hartsville
Time: 7:30pm
Location: Kellytown Stadium

Wilson vs. Hampton County
Time: 7:30 pm
Location: Tiger Stadium

Please be reminded that fans must follow a clear bag policy when attending all Florence 1 Schools athletic events.

Congratulations to James Ardis (class of '26) on receiving his International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma! James is currently a student at Wofford College and is majoring in Biology on the pre-med track and minoring in German.

Wilson's IB Program celebrates its 30th year this year, having awarded nearly a 1000 IB diplomas since its inception.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

PROCEDURES

As we kick off the 2026 Football Season, here are a few procedures to make sure the environment is safe for everyone to enjoy:

1. High school students must present a school ID to enter the games; students without an ID will not be allowed to enter the stadium.
2. Elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult, not a sibling or relative in high school.
3. Wilson High School students will not be permitted on the visitors side, and visiting team fans will not be allowed on the home side of the stadium.

Students must leave the campus immediately after the game. Students that are picked up late after a game will not be permitted to attend the remainder of home games.

We look forward to an exciting season, and need all of our fans to come support the team! GO TIGERS!
