Do you enjoy creating artwork and supporting a great cause? Ethan's Purpose is looking for talented individuals to design this year's Annual 5K t-shirt!

Our 2026 Annual 5K will take place on September 12th, and this year's theme is "Let The Light In." We invite artists of all ages and skill levels to submit a design that reflects hope, mental wellness, resilience, and the power of bringing light into the lives of others.

It's not to late to order the 2025-2026 Yearbook!! Deadline to order is June 26, 2026. Yearbooks are $36 with an option to add hardcover, names, and icon for additional costs. The yearbook will be available to pick up late August or early September. This year's 8th graders will receive an email letting them know they can be picked up at Jones or we can ship them to the high school they are attending. We are finishing up the final pages now which will include the 8th grade walk and dinner/dance. We are STILL celebrating! Thank you Deputy Menefee for another fantastic year! 💛💚💛💚

When students walk the halls of Rector A. Jones Middle School, it's not unusual to see Deputy Scott Menefee exchanging fist bumps, high-fives and jokes with children between classes.

For Principal Stacy Park, moments like that explain why her nomination secured Menefee as the Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers' Region 4 School Resource Officer of the Year.

Beginning June 1st and continuing through Aug 7th, all district and school office hours will be 7:30-4:00 Monday-Thursday; All district offices (including school offices) will be closed to the public on Fridays.

This year every student at Jones checked out a book for our Stop, Drop, and Read days. We love that our students are expanding their vocabulary, broadening their perspectives, and learning to love all that comes with reading great titles. There are some students that still have library books out. Please check with your child, if you come across a Jones Library book you may drop it off any time during the summer to the front office. We will have a book cart there to collect any that you find. Thanks for a great school year and we hope that you enjoy great reads over the summer!

The end of school is packed with fun events! Today we played and celebrated all day! Grade levels had a wonderful time with an Olympic Field day. Soggy grass, no problem! We got creative and continued the competition.

We also enjoyed the return of some Jones alumni and Honorary Diplomas! We love seeing our kids grow!

8th grade Night with a Dinner and Dance was fantastic! We danced and had so much fun with friends!

YMCA Summer Program: June 8 -19th. 8AM - 2PM, Monday - Friday (10 days total) Space is limited. This is a free, hands on program. Transportation, breakfast and lunch will be provided. Free fieldtrips on Fridays. Email Ms. Rex at [email protected] for questions and applications.
