It's a beautiful day for training! What do you mean it's only 40 degrees outside? That's what turnouts are for. These guys are putting in the hours on water shuttle training. Glad to have a tanker from Cloverdale Volunteer Fire Department here as well.

Tonight the Lauderdale County Association of Volunteer Fire Departments celebrated a great year. It was an honor to be part. UPVFD was also recognized several times during the ceremony for outstanding members.

Blake Bendall was recognized as the rookie of the year.

Bradley Maxwell was awarded the EMT start of life.

Steve McEachron was given the president's award.

Joe Maxwell was presented the Legacy Award for over 35 years of active service in a department, by his friend and fellow firefighter Tony Eckl.

What a great honor to work alongside these guys and the other members of this department, all part of the LCAVFD!
