The Middle Tennessee Grazing School will be led by grazing specialist Greg Brann and hosted in collaboration with Lawrence County Extension, Lawrence County’s Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Cumberland River Compact at Holler Hills Farm in Leoma, TN. This evening workshop will take a deep dive into the many benefits and challenges of a multi-paddock, managed grazing system.
Grazing specialist and farmer Greg Brann will teach this workshop, joined by Dr. Bruno Pedreira, UT Extension Forage Specialist, as part of the Master Forage Program. The first part of the course will be spent in the “classroom” and the second half in the field. Learn how to increase stocking density, make the most of marginal land, provide water access to remote parts of your farm, and more. Additionally, attendees are eligible for cost-share funding through the Compact to install exclusion fencing along creeks, streams, and rivers.
Dinner will be provided. This class is free, thanks to funding from the NASDA Foundation and Southern SARE. Even though the course is free participants are required to pre-register for an accurate head count for food and materials. To register either hit the below web-link or hit the QR code on the attached flyer.
