Pinal County Sheriff's Office Cadet Post 1875

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Cadet Post 1875 is looking for youth interested in joining the Law Enforcement Cadet program.

The purpose of Law Enforcement Exploring is to provide young adults who may be interested in a career in law enforcement with a comprehensive program of training, competition, service and practical experiences. Character development, physical fitness, good citizenship
and patriotism are integral components of the overall program. Through their involvement in the program, Explorers develop an aware

ness of the purpose, mission and objectives of law enforcement agencies. The support of the chief executive officer of the agency, along with a dedicated cadre of law enforcement professionals and adult volunteers who provide adult leadership, is essential to the success of
any Post.

Last week was a great time for our cadets. They toured the dispatch office and learned about all the exciting things that PCSO Dispatchers encounter every day.

While in the office they get to hear live radio traffic from different agencies. They learned the process on how calls to 911 become calls for service to Law Enforcement Officers. Next up is testing on codes. (Fingers crossed)

We also found out who pasted the Sergeants Test. Congratulations to Cadet Camden Anderson, he is the newest Cadet to make Sergeant in the post. The testing was close, but edged out his competitor by only 3 points. Good job to all that tested.

Another Proud day for our Post. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office cadet post 1875 is proud to announce we have another cadet join our ranks.

Detention Officer Cody Daer is one of three Officers that graduated from the Maricopa County Detention Officer's Academy last week. It's nice to see these young people learn, grow, and then see them achievement of their goals.

Great Job Cody! Best of luck to you.

Last week some of our cadets participated in the 2nd annual Pinal County Sheriff's Office's CSI camp. Participants learned a variety of aspects relating to crime scene investigations to include trajectories, finger prints, and Forensic Entomology.

The post operates off donations and money raised through fund raisers. The cadets have done an excellent job raising funds through various events such as recycling programs, raffles, as well as coin and patch sales. They earned enough extra money to enjoy some of the fruits of their labors.
Post 1875 organized an event at Freedom Airsoft in Tucson this Saturday. Cadets played for about four hours in the Arizona sun. It was a fun time had by all.

Our 5 cadets finished out the week and graduated from ALLECA. I'm real proud of this kids. They finished out strong and now have stories to tell.
Special thank you to Pinal County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Ross Teeple for putting aside some time and attending the ceremony.
The cadets were treated to lunch afterword's. I promised them it wouldn't be chow hall food.

The Post currently has 5 cadets up in Prescott attending the ALLECA training academy. (American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy) It is a week long leadership course designed to to prepare young men and women for a career in law enforcement and the military. It's not always easy , but it is fun.

Cadets have hands on experience and training in various topics encountered in both career fields. Topics like DUI's, K-9, SWAT, Aviation and more.

Graduation time is a busy time for everyone. The Cadet Post 1875's Honor Guard conducted 3 presentations of colors, at 3 different schools, in 3 different cities, and in 3 different days. Other Cadets also assisted Poston Butte High School with traffic control during their graduation.

The post also had two cadets graduate high school. One plans to join the Navy and the other plans to apply to PCSO as a Detention Officer. We wish them well.

Special thank you to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office's Sheriff Ross Teeple for taking time to attend one of our own Cadets graduation. Your presence was greatly appreciated.

In preparation for National Police Week, Cadet Post 1875 participated in the Pinal County Sheriff's Office annual Law Enforcement Memorial. The cadets dawned their class A uniform and lead the way.
The post help in every aspect of the memorial from start to finish, and everything in between. I'm proud of these kids, they stood in the heat for hours to get things done. True to the post moto, "Motovated, Dedicated".

Our Cadets have have an exciting week.
First our Cadets were a tremendous help during Country Thunder. Moving trailers, cooking for Deputies, and even participated in patrols inside campgrounds. Cadets got to see what daily life is like in law enforcement. Dead Silence followed by mass chaos.

I was honored to attend the graduation of one of the Post's own from the Detention Academy. Cadet Karcey Beeson attended, and graduated, the Maricopa County Law Enforcement Training Academy. She became one of two new Detention Officers for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. Good Job Karsy.

Then the post participated in our bi-annual Adopt-A-Road program. They cleaned up a two mile stretch of road at Missile Base Rd and Estoncia. Following the clean up the Cadets were rewarded with a victory ice cream.

Some of our Cadets participated in the Coolidge Rotary Clubs annual Trap shoot Saturday. It was a good time, good food, and great company.
