Florence Township Police Department

Officers from the Florence Township Police Department had the pleasure of attending a Durga Puja ceremony at the Community Center, an important Hindu religious and cultural celebration honoring Goddess Durga, who symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and the strength of courage and justice.

Durga Puja brings families and community members together for prayer, cultural traditions, and celebration. It is a meaningful time for reflection, unity, and celebrating the rich cultural diversity within our community.

We appreciate the warm welcome and the opportunity to meet with community members, learn more about their traditions, and strengthen the relationships that help make Florence Township a welcoming place for everyone.

At the Florence Township Police Department, we believe that building trust goes beyond responding to calls. It means being present, engaging with our residents, and celebrating the diversity that makes our community special.

Thank you for welcoming our officers!

During Teen Driver Safety Week in New Jersey, remember that fall evenings bring lower visibility and more people walking and biking. Use extra caution at dusk. Every person on the road is someone’s loved one.

We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported this great community event. It was a wonderful opportunity for our department to connect with residents, meet local families, and enjoy a great day together.

Throughout the month of October, our officers will be wearing pink badges to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

October is a time for us all to come together to raise awareness about breast cancer, honor those affected, and recognize the impact this devastating disease has on individuals, families, and communities.

We stand together in support of those fighting, those who have overcome, and those we have lost.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨
This week, several members of our community have been targeted by the “bank card chip” scam.
Scammers are posing as representatives from bank fraud departments and claiming there is suspicious activity on your account. They may pressure you to:
• Cut up your debit or credit card
• Send the card pieces to a courier
• Provide personal or banking information that can be used to access your account
⚠️ Do not provide your card, PIN, passwords, or account information to anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.
If you receive a suspicious call, contact your bank directly using the phone number on the back of your card or from the bank’s official website.
If you believe you have been targeted or are a victim, contact Florence Township Police Department and report the incident.
