The 2023-2024 Florence Township Recreation Basketball Registration Portal Is Now OPEN!
This is the first season that we will be utilizing the Team Snap program for basketball. The registration link will walk you thru the registration prompts. One prompt asks if you would like to protect your registration fee? There isn't a way to remove this option, but since we do not collect a registration fee, you may decline the option and move on with the registration.
We will be hosting Open Gym evenings in Mid-November so that all registered participants between 3rd grade and 8th grade may get out on the court to work on some basic fundamentals of basketball prior to team selections. Our Kindergarten thru 2nd graders will begin together after the New Year.
Interested in coaching or serving as a member of the recreation basketball board? Please email [email protected] for more information about volunteering with our program this season.
More information will follow shortly, but please click on the registration link and sign up now. We will look to have teams set and practicing by the 1st week of December so its important to add your players to our portal and get them on the court to have a lot of fun this winter!

Eagle Scout Project in Progress: A member of the Florence Township Boy Scout Troop 3 currently is working on an Eagle Scout Project in Roebling Park. The project once completed will provide various exercise stations for our residents to utilize and enjoy. The project concept originated during the Covid-19 pandemic citing the need for outdoor options for individuals to use for exercise purposes. Even post-covid many are reluctant to join gyms, so this placement in our community park will offer various positive benefits to our residents.
We ask residents to not use the stations until the project is fully completed and all caution materials are removed from the site.

Burlington Count Restaurant Week: This week in Burlington County eateries of all varieties are supported and celebrated for their efforts to provide vast menus, local employment opportunities and in the case of Florence Township businesses, years of support to countless organizations and activities throughout our community.
It is important to embrace and support our local business leaders and continue to patronize their businesses. In a time when big box stores and mediums such as Door Dash and Uber Eats allow families the convenience to order at the touch of a button, the long-term impact on a local storefront can be very challenging. If we all do our part, our local eateries will thrive.
We encourage our residents to continue to support our local businesses in and around our town. Many know their customers by name, we see their logo on the programs of school productions or adorned on the back of a youth recreation uniform or banner placed along an outfield fence. We thank you all for your continued commitment to Florence Township.
