Florence Area Democratic Club Our mission is to promote core Democratic values of economic fairness and equality of opportunity in an active and inclusive Democracy.

Objectives to accomplish our mission include:

•Empowering residents of the greater Florence area by providing activities, events and meetings to increase awareness of issues facing our community, state and country.
•Organizing voters to elect candidates who put our core Democratic values into action.

•Holding elected officials accountable to the values and principles of our party through public

advocacy, coalition work and our endorsement process.

•Asking candidates seeking our support to pledge to put our shared Democratic values into practice.

Democratic County Commissioner Heather Buch's Republican opposition spent almost $300,000 in an attempt to unseat her in May. They came frighteningly close, and we can expect big business to keep funding the MAGA consultant who is running against her in November. We need your help to win. To keep this seat, we will need to double down on grassroots support for Heather. We are asking you today to commit to at least one door-knocking shift this fall. I’m so proud of the effort put into this race by all of our supporters, volunteers, donors, voters, and more who made this possible. With a well-connected Republican getting big money from his friends, we were in a tough fight to hold this seat. Last Tuesday was just the beginning, and I feel confident that we can continue to put the work in to hold this seat in November.

It’s been a tough election so far, but your support and kind words have helped us get through it.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I know that if we continue to work together and focus on delivering real results for Lane County, we will win in the fall.
