🛑 School Bus Safety Law Update – Know the Rules!
The Florence Police Department wants to make sure everyone is aware of important changes to Kentucky’s school bus safety laws that went into effect on July 15, 2026 (House Bill 7).
These changes are designed to better protect our kids as they get on and off the bus.
Please slow down, stay alert, and always stop for the school bus. Let’s work together to keep Florence’s children safe this school year.

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing teens who participated in this year's Florence Police Department CSI Camp! 🕵️🔍

Throughout the camp, participants got a firsthand look at how our officers and investigators process a crime scene—from collecting evidence to documenting the scene and learning the science behind solving cases.

We had an incredible time with this outstanding group of young people and truly appreciate their enthusiasm, curiosity, and participation. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

We’re already looking forward to hosting another CSI Camp next summer. Until then, stay safe and keep learning! 🚓🧬

Join the Florence Police Department in congratulating our newest police officers. They just completed 800+ hours of training and graduated from the Basic Police Academy at DOCJT as Class 570. Looking at the photo from left to right, the Ofc.'s in ties, it's Ofc. Jesus Arambula, Ofc. Franklin Davis, Ofc. Conner Bridges, Ofc. Joshua Schlake and Ofc. Nathan Courtney. Now they begin months of field training.
