💙 What a FUN week of Goodies with Grands! 💙

The weather was beautiful and the smiles abundant! We had such a wonderful time celebrating our amazing grandparents and special guests! 🥰 From the smiles and hugs to the special memories made, it was a week filled with love, laughter, and lots of fun! Our students loved sharing this special time with the people who mean so much to them. 💕

A HUGE THANK YOU to our incredible PTO for helping make Goodies with Grands so special! Your time, hard work, and dedication to our school and students do not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for everything you do to make these special moments possible! 💙

The Alabama Reading Initiative is excited to share family resource videos highlighting how everyday moments can become meaningful opportunities to build children's language and literacy skills. Our first installment of Pages and Paws was a great success! Thank you to Mrs. Greenhaw and Mrs. Baugh for coordinating this event so that our students could practice reading to a furry friend! Thank you to the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter for sharing some cute dogs with us!

Forest Hills is excited to announce our Teacher of the Year, Julie Greenhaw, and our Employee of the Year, Emily Scruggs.

Mrs. Greenhaw is a kindergarten teacher at FHES. She exudes love and compassion and thinks of countless ways to foster a love of learning in her students.

Mrs. Emily is our attendance clerk. She greets everyone who enters our doors with an encouraging smile and a genuine desire to help.

We want to give a shout-out to Mrs. Greenhaw for orchestrating our Community Helper Day for our kindergarten kiddos today! The FHES family sincerely appreciates the time and dedication of Florence’s firefighters, police officers, EMTs, electrical and sanitation department employees, marine police officers, and mail carriers who serve our community EVERY DAY. Our kids and faculty THANK YOU!!!! 👍😎

Signatures: Renaissance is getting ready for its second edition!

Florence City Schools students are invited to help fill the pages of the district’s student literary magazine with their creativity.

Students can submit original writing, artwork, photography, and other creative works for consideration.

Last year’s inaugural edition showcased the incredible creativity of students across Florence City Schools, and we can’t wait to see what our Falcons create for Volume 2.
