It’s UNA Student Employment Week - which means we are taking the opportunity to highlight our amazing student employees! Each day, we will be featuring a different area of our College.

Today’s features are all about the students serving the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (TLL). Abbie Grace Long has been working for the College for four semesters and is a junior majoring in early childhood education. She works in Stevens Hall where she helps the faculty and staff with various projects while serving as the first point of contact for the Department. We are thrilled to have Abbie Grace as part of the COEHS family!

It's Student Employment Week!
Throughout this week we will show our appreciation for the 500 plus students that are employed on campus.

Today, we will kick off the week by announcing the UNA Student Employee of the Year. The Student Employee Recognition Committee received 18 nominations for Student Employee of the Year. Each nominee was rated on an equally weighted scale based on: Attributes, Quality of Work, Leadership, Campus Involvement, Resume, Experience Essay and Uniqueness of Contribution.

Congratulations Garret Statom on being named the 2023-24 UNA Student Employee of the Year! Garret is a senior employed in Student Financial Aid as a Student Administrative Assistant. He is majoring in accounting and maintains a 4.0 G.P.A.

Congratulations to the top two finalist, Kallie Daniel, University Health Services & Carol Samuelson, Geoscience Department and all who were nominated for the award. We appreciate each of you for your hard work and dedication. You can learn more about the finalists and nominees below.
