Florence Fire Department Florence Fire Department is an all volunteer, modern fire department located in Florence, WI. The Florence Volunteer Fire Department is a 40 member departement.

We are housed in the Florence Community Center in a 60x60 fire station. We have 6 different appartus ranging from a 1973 Howe Pumper to a 2006 Mini Pumper. We run on an average of 50 to 60 calls a year. Our coverage area is 210 square miles. It also includes the Towns of Commonwealth and Fern.

First of all a shout out to Caspian Gastra FD for hosting the 131 UP Firefighters Tournament they did a great job Thank You.
FFD ended up 2nd overall behind West Iron. That is the best we have ever done in the UP Tournament. The theme this year was Cartoons We Grew Up With. As you can see we did the Flintstones. We had so much fun getting together with other firefighters throughout the UP.
Next year we will be hosting the Tournament in Florence. Stay tuned for more information.
