September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! Do you and your family have Siuslaw Public Library District cards yet? In addition to thousands of books, DVDs, board games, and other items in the library, your SPLD card also gives you access to ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines through Libby; plus our wide selection of databases like Consumer Reports and Creativebug.

Check out our display honoring the late icon and humanitarian Dolly Parton. In addition to her prolific music career, she was also a huge advocate for early childhood reading. Did you know that her Imagination Library has given more than 330 million free books to kids all over the world?

The Friends of Siuslaw Public Library are holding their big annual Labor Day weekend book sale! You'll find great deals on used books for all ages, plus DVDs, puzzles, and more. Saturday, September 5, 10 AM - 4 PM, and Sunday, September 6, 10 AM - 3 PM. Early entry 9 AM Saturday for Friends members (you can join at the door). Fill a bag for $5 all day Sunday. All proceeds benefit the library!
