****If you would like a copy emailed to you, please email [email protected]****

We’re excited to share our new Community Resource Guide, created to help connect individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability with the services and resources available throughout the Shoals and Northwest Alabama.

This guide is only possible because of the incredible organizations, agencies, churches, businesses, volunteers, and community partners who continue to show up, serve, and care for our community. ❤️ Thank you for all that you do!

***IMPORTANT NOTE!***
We did our best to include many resources in the Shoals, but if we missed yours, let us know! We also know that community resources are always changing. If your organization would like to be added to the guide, or if you notice information that needs to be updated or corrected, please let us know!

How do you let us know? >>>📧 EMAIL US at [email protected] with additions, updates, or corrections. Please do not comment with any updates, only email!

Our goal is to keep this guide as accurate, current, and useful as possible for the people who need it most, and we will continue to update it as needed!

With thankful hearts, we are wrapping up another successful season of two of our programs, “Better Eyes for a Brighter Tomorrow” and “Homeward Bound”. 😊

This year, through our Homeward Bound program, we were honored to help two individuals reconnect with family and friends, providing transportation assistance and helping them take the next step toward a more hopeful future. 🚌😃

Through Better Eyes for a Brighter Tomorrow, we were also able to assist 12 individuals experiencing homelessness with eye exams and a new pair of glasses. Something as simple as being able to see clearly can make such a meaningful difference in someone’s life, and has helped several individuals secure
employment 👓👍🏼

We’re incredibly grateful to Renaissance Eye Care for partnering with us and helping bring this vision to life. Your generosity is helping people see a brighter future- literally and figuratively! ☀️

We’re also thankful for the support of City of Florence Planning & Community Development, whose funding makes programs like these possible. Thank you!😊

While we are closing out this cycle, we are hopeful these programs will be back! Stay tuned for more details. 🙌🏻

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in the work we do, and in the work so many providers in our communities
do!❤️

We are pleased to announce that the results of our Point in Time 2026 have been completed. The PIT is a federally required, community-wide effort conducted annually to provide a snapshot of individuals and families experiencing homelessness on a single night. This data helps inform funding decisions and guide local planning efforts.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all volunteers, partner agencies, and community members who contributed their time to make this possible!

Please see and read the attached document, for a Consolidated Plan and Results of Point in Time 2026. Be reminded that this count covers 6 counties.
