Florence County Parks & Rec - Leatherman Senior Center Join our senior group travel program, The Vintage Travelers. Florence County Parks & Rec has offered

Florence County Parks and Recreation offers numerous activities and opportunities for senior citizens at the Leatherman Senior Center. Some of these include computer classes, arts and crafts, gym, exercise classes, library, bingo, Spanish class, line dancing, a variety of card games, crochet, and many more. We also host special events throughout the year for holidays and other occasions.

We have arrived in San Francisco! We did a mini city tour yesterday which included a great stop at the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts! Today we are heading out to do a full city tour before enjoying a half day on our own then having a farewell dinner tonight before our flight home tomorrow!

We have had a busy few days! We have done A TON of driving. We left Seattle and made our way to Portland! Along the way ...

We have had a busy few days! We have done A TON of driving. We left Seattle and made our way to Portland! Along the way we stopped at Multnomah Falls then did a brief city tour of Portland which included the famous rose gardens. The next day, we left Portland and headed to Coos Bay. Along the way we stopped in Florence, Oregon and saw the coastal sand dunes in Newport. Yesterday, we had a jet boat ride to the small town of Agness (the population is 75 people!). We finally arrived in Eureka, California last night and got to see some of the famous Redwoods! Today we head to San Francisco for the last two days of the trip!

We had a fun first day on our Pacific Coast adventure trip! We started off the day with a short tour around Seattle, on our way to the Space Needle! We went all the way up to the top to see the stunning views of the city from the observation deck. Afterwards, we went next door to visit the Chihuly Gardens and see the absolutely amazing sculptures. On our way to lunch we stopped at Ballard Locks & Fish Ladder and saw how the salmon are caught when going from saltwater to freshwater. To finish off our day, we went to Pike Place Market where we had lunch and free time for the rest of the day! Tomorrow we're off to Portland, Oregon!
