July bills will reflect rate increases
By Bernie Delinski Staff Writer

FLORENCE — Water and wastewater bills Florence Utilities customers are receiving this month do not reflect the rate increase that went into effect this month.

The city council in May unanimously approved water and sewer increases that average 50% for the three tiers of residential water use. Wastewater charges will rise by 9.9%.

The increases started on June 1, and the July bills will reflect those increases, officials said.
