One Place of the Shoals enjoyed attending the Shoals Chambers Leadership Shoals Nonprofits Speed Networking today at the Handy Recreation Center and sharing some information about our organization. It is always good to meet and connect with those in the community that provide so many resources to help those in need. Joining forces and working together we can do so much more!

Thank you to Nelson DeLucca and ACAR for bringing Kenny Smith to the shoals area to provide a much informed training for our law enforcement on resiliency and trauma-informed investigations for victims of sexual assault.

Special thanks to animal eye center in Huntsville for participating in ACVO national service animal eye exam event. The event provides free ocular screening eye exams to qualified service and working animals each May. Dr. Beth Gibbons, and her staff took great care of Athens.

Tomorrow is Denim Day! 👖
In 1998 the Italian Supreme Court overturned a r**e conviction, ruling that because the victim was wearing tight jeans, she must have helped remove them, implying consent.
Wear denim tomorrow to stand with survivors and raise awareness about harmful myths surrounding sexual assault!
