Officers Devon Howard, Ken Chase, Rene Nido, and Carlos Delacruz responded swiftly when help was needed, helping preserve life and protect the safety and well-being of those in our courts.👏

🎉 Celebrating years of dedicated service to Pinal County!

The Board of Supervisors recognized 14 employees yesterday, marking major service milestones, including 30, 25, and 20 years of dedication to serving our community.

- Jessica Tapia, Darren Gauthier and Tracy Hampton - 25 years
- Michael Benedict, Edward Castro, Edward Lillie, Jorge Marin, Larry Stone, John Johnston, Teresa Navarrette, Marvin Schifferns Jr., Gina Alfonso and Wren Morrow - 20 years

Eight of this year's honorees are members of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, with others representing Development Services, the Recorder's Office, Juvenile Court Services, Public Health and IT.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 16 at 12:18PM MST until September 16 at 1:00PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Pinal County until 10 PM MST.

* At 1218 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles
northeast of Picacho Peak State Park, moving northwest at 5 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of Central Pinal County.

This includes Route 79 between mile markers 113 and 122.

Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost 25 years ago on September 11, 2001.

On Patriot Day, we honor the first responders who answered the call, the survivors who carry the memories of that day, and the families and communities forever changed by the events of September 11.
