Yesterday, June 15th, was World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The Elder Maltreatment Alliance (EMA) marked the occasion with a Purple Picnic Party and fundraiser in Florence to help raise awareness about elder abuse and the importance of supporting older adults.

It was great to see community members come together, enjoy the event, and learn more about recognizing and preventing elder abuse. NKADD was proud to support the effort and help spread awareness through community engagement and education. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event a success!

The Northern Kentucky Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is seeking Friendly Visitor Volunteers to spend time with residents in long-term care settings. Just one hour a week can bring connection, companionship, and comfort to someone who needs it most.

Volunteers visit residents in:
✔️ Nursing Homes
✔️ Personal Care Homes
✔️ Assisted Living Communities
