Hey everyone!
We will be hosting our cooling stations tomorrow and Thursday from 12PM-4PM!!

Tuesday, September 1st, we will be at Central Baptist
Thursday, September 3rd, we will be at Florence First Assembly

We will pick up and drop off at Central Baptist on Thursday.

We still have some volunteer slots that need to be filled, as well as food for tomorrow, so please check out the SignUp Genius link in the comments!!

Happy Monday, friends!! I hope your weekend was all that you wanted and needed it to be and that your week is looking to be the same way!!

We will be hosting cooling stations Tuesday and Thursday of this week, from 12PM-4PM.
On Tuesday, we will be at Central Baptist Church in Florence
On Thursday, we will be at Grace Episcopal Church - Sheffield, Alabama

Please keep in mind our new policy to keep as much consistency and safety as we need for everyone to feel comfortable.

Anyone who would like to participate in the cooling station needs to be there by 12:15. If you'd like to ride the bus, be at the Central Baptist fire pit by 11:45. If you'd like to walk or drive yourself, just be sure to arrive before 12:15 so you can participate.

If you would like to leave at any point, you are more than welcome to do so, but you cannot return to the cooling station that day. You can still come to the next station, and you have every right to leave when you'd like, we just ask that you respect this guideline.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us so we can be sure everyone understands and is able to make any concerns known!! Thank you all!!

Happy Monday, friends!!
I hope that everyone is staying out of the heat as much as possible!!
On the subject of staying out of the heat - we will be hosting cooling stations Tuesday and Thursday of this week, from 12PM-4PM.
On Tuesday, we will be at Trinity Episcopal Church Florence
On Thursday, we will be Central Baptist Church

‼️IMPORTANT‼️
We have created a new policy in an effort to keep as much consistency and safety as we need for our guests and volunteers to feel comfortable.

Up until this week, we have allowed folks to come and go from the cooling stations as they'd like.
We are now requiring anyone who would like to participate in the cooling station to be there by 12:15. If you'd like to ride the bus, be at the Central Baptist fire pit by 11:45. If you'd like to walk or drive yourself, just be sure to arrive before 12:15 or we can't let you participate.

Hey y'all!! We will be at Florence First Assembly tomorrow (Tuesday) and Grace Episcopal Church - Sheffield, Alabama on Thursday!

Now, all we need is a driver from Central Baptist to the host at 11:50 and a driver from the host to Central Baptist at 4.

If you are willing and able to drive our van, please reach out - no CDL required!! This is a critical part of our program and we can always use more folks!!

Hey y'all!! We have a location for Thursday!! We will be at Florence First Assembly - thank you so much for allowing us to use your space!!

Now, all we need is a driver from Central Baptist to Florence First at 11:50 and a driver from Florence First to Central Baptist at 4.

Hey friends!!
We are in need of help on Thursday, August 6th - we currently don't have a host church or adequate volunteers for a cooling station.
We have churches that are able to provide food, we just need a space and people to hang out with the guests!!

If this is something you're able to help with, please reach out to me as quickly as possible so we can get things rolling!!

St. James' Methodist, Thursday, July 30

If you need a place to stay cool, please utilize these stations!!

We still need food for tomorrow at Central Baptist - if you're able to provide this, please reach out and let us know!!

Hey, folks!! We will be having our cooling stations this week, so we wanted to update on locations and needs!

Tuesday, July 21 will be at Trinity Episcopal Church Florence
Thursday, July 23 will be at Central Baptist Church

Both dates will be from 12PM-4PM with a pickup from Central Baptist/Salvation Army pavilion at 11:50. As of right now (we all know this can change 🥴) our bus is up and running!!

We are in need of volunteers and food at Central Baptist on Thursday, July 23.
