Mark your calendars and plan to attend. Many of the rancheros and rancheras from present-day Wilson County were involved in and suffered from the 1813 battle of Medina.

Save the Date !

Our Annual Battle of Medina Symposium date has been set.

Stay tuned as details are forthcoming. We are currently developing the program with some great presenters and exhibitors once again.

Check out the great news for the Floresville Depot.

ALRIGHT FOLKS! Huge news!!! As of today, we have officially entered into an agreement with the City of Floresville for the purpose of restoring the old San Antonio & Aransas Pass depot located off Trail Street!!!

We are so excited to be moving forward with this project! The agreement is for a two year time span in which FHRM will be working to fully restore the depot back to how it once looked. Once restored, FHRM will be opening up our museum inside the depot with historical photos, materials and actual railroad equipment for display! We are also planning on hosting multiple events throughout the year that will be for all ages!

Are you interested in joining, help restore and supporting the FHRM? Well, you’re in luck! We are planning a “meet & greet” May 9th in celebration of National Train Day 2026! We will have a couple pieces of equipment from our parent organization there for display, along with snacks and drinks. We hope to see y’all there!!!
