Wilson County ESD #2 hosted another NWCG Wildland Firefighter skills session yesterday that included several students from around the area. This skills session certified several new Type 2 Wildland Firefighters, and included several EMS personnel that are pursuing the Wildland Paramedic credentialing.

Thank you to Wilson County ESD #4, Wilson County ESD #5, Wilson County Fire Marshall's Office, and Community Fire Department for joining us for another great day of training.

Thank you to FISD Family & Community Specialist Leanne Marshall for helping us get over 1,000 different school supplies to elementary students needing it.

We understand that this year the school supplies drive was short. We will be planning bigger and better things next year, and sooner! Thank you to the community who made an impact for these students and donated school supplies. Keep an eye out for our donation boxes next year, and let's make the 2nd Annual Back to School Bash and School Supplies Drive HUGE!

We still have everything out and ready to enjoy! Stop by and play in the waterslide and visit the vendor tents. We will be here until 6pm.

Today is the day! Come out and join us for some food and fun in the water with your local first responders. We will have the fire trucks out, a helicopter will be landing, and a bunch of vendors will be setup. We are so excited to spend the day with you!

We will be collecting school supplies today at the event only. If you would like to donate please bring new unopened school supplies from the FISD list posted.

We want to extend a huge thank you to Blue Shield LE MC for their monetary donation to support the 1st Annual School Supplies Drive.

Don't forget you can donate new unopened school supplies to any of our donation stations until July 29th at 5pm, and the Back to School Bash is coming up NEXT WEEKEND on August 1st from noon to 6pm. Please see our pinned post for more details. Hope to see you there!

Wilson County ESD #2 is hosting it's First Annual Back to School Bash and School Supplies Drive. This event will be open to the public for the community to come enjoy the day with your local first responders. We will have several activities for the children to enjoy, as well as food and drinks with treats to help cool off.

We ask that you donate NEW and UNOPENED School supplies to any of our donation stations until July 29th at 5pm. These School supplies will help students and teachers start the school year off right with the tools they need to succeed. Parents can inquire through Messenger or by calling our station to receive School supplies.

We are excited to provide another opportunity for the community to come together, and hope to see you on August 1st!

Our B- Shift crew enjoyed a few hours in the sun with the community at the Wilson County Trade Days. We are always excited and grateful for these opportunities to get out and mingle with the community, and meet more of the wonderful people we are serving.
