✏️📚 First Grade Writers at Work! 💜

First graders in Mrs. Flores’ class were busy putting their writing skills to work today! They practiced their handwriting skills and worked together to draft their very own class story all about “How to Make a Friend.” 📝✨

As they shared their ideas, students thought about what it means to be a good friend—being kind, including others, listening, helping, and showing compassion. What a wonderful way to combine literacy skills with lessons that matter beyond the classroom! 🥰

We love watching our first graders grow as writers, thinkers, and friends! 🌟💜

This week , Mrs. Meyer, our Kinder Assistant Principal, visited each of our Kindergarten classrooms to read We Don’t Eat Our Classmates! 🦖📖
This fun story helped us reinforce an important message from our Safe Body, Safe Hands initiative: we keep our hands, feet, and bodies to ourselves and treat our friends with kindness and respect. 💚
We loved seeing our Kinder students engage with the story and talk about what it means to make safe, kind choices at school!

📣 Friday morning school spirit! 📣

This morning, we had some special helpers in carline! Our FHS cheerleaders, football players, and volleyball players were there to greet our students with enthusiasm, school spirit, and, of course, plenty of smiles! 💙🏈🏐📣

They certainly brought some extra energy and excitement to our fabulous Friday morning! What a fun way to start the day! 🌟
