Mike Monreal, Wilson County Judge Elect 2026

Mike Monreal, Wilson County Judge Elect 2026 I am a Regional Vice President for a top tier Project Management and Construction Company (Civil Engineer). My service does not stop here.

My extensive experience managing regional organizations, Billion-dollar budgets, leading hundreds of employees/first responders, developing master plans, capital programs, and sustaining infrastructure, gives me the expertise to be our next County Judge. I have many years of extensive experience in managing large regional organizations with Billion-dollar budgets, overseeing hundreds of employees

and first responders, and developing capital programs and sustaining infrastructure. I retired as a Navy Captain (O-6) and my career spanned 28 years in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Navy. During my career, I commanded many units including a Navy Seabee Battalion and a Field Engineering Command. As a decorated combat veteran and Regional Engineer, I have been recognized with the Legion of Merit (x2), Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (x3) and numerous other military awards. After a long and accomplished military career, I still have a desire to continue to give back to the country that offered me such extraordinary opportunities. Because of my desire for continued service, I provided leadership in the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) for our Senate District 21 from 2022-2024. I am also a life member of several organizations including the NRA, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Navy Seabee Veterans of America (NSVA). I truly believe I can best serve the citizens of Wilson County and all of Texas as Our next County Judge. As a young man, I received a Bachelor of Science Undergraduate Degree ('91) and a Master of Engineering Degree ('01), both in Civil Engineering, from Texas A&M University. I later achieved an Executive Business Certification in Organizational Management from Stanford University ('14). In 2021, I was recognized as a Distinguished Graduate of the Texas A&M Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. In May of that same year, I was awarded the title of Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers for my exemplary servant leadership and outstanding work ethic.

My team of industry professionals and myself, and one of the company's owners, were able to attend the TDEM conference, Texas Division of Emergency Management. Connections with other industry professionals and establishing those important relationships with these agencies well before they are needed, is so important when minutes count in an emergency situation. The conference hosts hundreds of professionals in a myriad of fields concerning emergency management. "A record-breaking crowd of over 4,280 attendees from more than 40 states and three countries" attended the conference this year. As a Regional Vice President, it is always my privilege to see my team at its best in these environments. Bravo Zulu!

Memorial Day also found us celebrating with my fellow Wilson County Memorial VFW Post 8555 & Auxiliary members out at Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in the afternoon. As the Chaplain, it is always my honor to pray over our events. Our VFW members and the Auxiliary showed up in force with food, drink, stories and laughter! Remembering and Honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to secure the freedoms we enjoy to this day, with fellow veterans, is always a special time for all of us.

Memorial Day found us Remembering and Honoring at a wonderful ceremony at our American Legion, Post 38, Floresville, Texas legion Hall. The annual event included a car parade, casket presentation, free hamburgers and hot dogs, TRIAGE guest speaker, DAR (daughters of the American revolution) Representative, Floresville High School JROTC, Boy Scouts, and era authentic soldiers from the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) San Antonio chapter that fired off the gun salute. Thank you so much to every single volunteer that makes this event such a huge success.

Yesterday's Cacahuate Cook-Off at the Showbarn, hosted by the Floresville Peanut Festival Association, was a great afternoon of BBQ, fun, and fellowship! It was so wonderful to see our youth of the Peanut Festival Court out and mingling with everyone. I had the honor of judging beans, chicken, and brisket and every entry was delicious!! Can't wait for next year!
