Shoutout to Ms. Johnson’s ELA class! 📚✨

Today, students got focused on their i-Ready MyPath goals and what it takes to hit their target minutes 💪🏾⏱️. Then, they jumped into their Digital Student Journal Do Now, where they practiced finding textual evidence, using context clues, and making inferences to figure out the meaning of the word “makeshift.” 🧠🔎

Students turned and talked with a partner to share their evidence and thinking, and we heard some strong responses during share-out! One student shared his ideas and Ms. Johnson reinforced him with, “That is well stated and clearly identified.” 👏🏾

Love seeing students thinking deeply, speaking confidently, and building those reading skills every day! ✅🐎

🔥 Mindset Monday – Debate Class at Work! 🔥

Our Debate students were locked in today as they prepared for their next debate topic! 🗣️📚 Students analyzed the background of the topic, its history, and why it is significant. They are also required to develop three strong main points with two supporting subpoints for each, helping them build clear, organized, and persuasive arguments.

This is the kind of learning that builds confident speakers, critical thinkers, and future leaders! 💪🏾👏🏾

We had two very special visitors today!
Santa 🎅🏿 stopped by Larimore! He brought along Buddy the Elf who wore an extremely small hat! 😂

The kids were ecstatic to get candy canes and hugs from these two! Santa and Buddy even knew about our kids’ incredible growth on the iReady tests they are finishing up.

Word travels fast when you’re The Chosen!
